Initial Consultation
– A meeting to establish the functional requirements of the commission – features, dimensions and possible materials.
– It is often important to be able to explore the location and character of the space for the proposed furniture.
– Present our current portfolio as a background to our business
– Provide a written description and estimate of the proposal and concept sketches if necessary
– Initial Deposit payment of 10%
The Design
– The design concept is the collation of all your preferences and requirements.
– We will refine the concept through drawings, models and mock ups.
– Undertake an accurate survey if required
The Proposal
– Agree final design, price and time scale
– Confirm materials, finishes
– Production of working drawings
– Interim payment of 30%
Production
– The careful selection and purchase of materials
– The workshop manufacturing process begins.
– The client is welcome to visit the workshop throughout this process
Installation
– Delivery of the project and installation if necessary
– Agreement with the customer of completion of the project
– Final invoice submitted
Aftercare
– Discuss with the client the aftercare required for the commission
– RDM offer a full aftercare and maintenance service
